Wellfleet Bay Holding ‘Waterfowl Wednesdays’ Throughout Winter Months

EASTHAM – Think winter is a slow time for birds on Cape Cod? Think again.

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary says that ducks, loons, and grebes are plentiful on open water throughout the winter and early spring.

Join a Wellfleet Bay naturalist for up-close studies of winter waterfowl at various locations on the Outer Cape on Wednesdays throughout the winter months.

The next Waterfowl Wednesday is scheduled for December 19 from 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. at the Eastham Kettle Ponds.

Wellfleet Bay asks guests to bring binoculars and dress for the weather and to check in at least 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants are also asked to be prepared to caravan from the meeting location.

Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary members pay just $10 while nonmembers pay $12. Pre-registration is required.
