WELLFLEET – Christmas is under three weeks away but it’s never too soon for parents on Cape Cod to plan ahead for February vacation.

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in South Wellfleet will host February Vacation Adventures from Tuesday, February 20 through Friday, February 23.

The program runs from 9 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. each day for children 5-11 years of age or grades K-5.

The drop-off vacation week program immerses children in nature through stories, games, crafts and hikes led by a team of environmental educators.

Participants can search for birds, squirrels, along with tracks and traces left behind by animals that are active during the winter months.

Children will also create nature-themed art projects, play games and listen to stories.

Groups will focus on a different theme each day of the week in groups divided by age.

The program is $35 per day, $30 for children of members.

To register for each day visit massaudubon.org.
