Wellfleet Beachcomber Continues Their Giving Tradition

WELFLEET – The 40-year old Wellfleet Beachcomber has long been known for their fundraising efforts to support both local and regional charities.

Its two major annual events are the “Clam Jam” and the “Live for Lou Fundraiser”.

The “Clam Jam” raises money for the Pan Mass Challenge which benefits the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  Last year they raised $224,000, which put the overall total over $1,000,000.

The “Live for Lou Fund” is an advised fund of The Cape Cod Foundation, created in memory of Beachcomber owner Todd LeBart’s son who died of a drug overdose in 2014.

In addition, The Beachcomber donated a total of $85,000 to 20 local organizations in 2017.
