Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater Presents New Film Series

Wellfleet Harbor Actors TheaterWELLFLEET – The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents a new film series, “Art and Architecture in Cinema”.

The films bring the world’s greatest works of art to the big screen.

Cinema guests can now enjoy HD access into the lives of renowned artists, their art and the museums and galleries that are not only the custodians of the masterpieces, but works of art in their own right.

“Florence and the Uffizi Gallery” takes place at 2 p.m. on June 5.

The film is a multi-dimensional journey of the city that was once the cradle of the Italian Renaissance through works of art of the period from Michelangelo, Raphael and Botticelli.

“Renoir: Revered and Reviled” takes place on June 19 at 2p.m.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir is known and love for his impressionist paintings of Paris, but although they count as among the world’s favorites, he grew tired of the style and changed course.

The film examines the direction he took and why it provokes such extreme reactions right up to today.

The cost for both films is $12 per person.

The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater is the award-winning theater company that inspired a new vigor for theater on the Cape.

In honor of the theater’s namesake, Julie Harris, WHAT continues to be a sounding board for new and bold ideas presenting year-round programming.
