Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater Releases 2016 Schedule

theaterWELLFLEET – Modern conveniences like smart phones and GPS often make us forget that the journey of life is full of the unexpected.

For its 2016 theater season, the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater celebrates these unexpected moments: the realization of first love, a town bonded by a bullied teenager, a family finding common ground through music, the censorship of a fictional marriage between two rabbits and the beauty behind the darkness of Edgar Allan Poe.

The theater season kicks off on March 17 with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, William Shakespeare’s most popular comedy.

“Girlfriend” based on the book by Todd Almond comes to the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater from May 12 to June 11.

The production of the comedy “Cook” by Mike Bartlett runs from June 16 to July 10.

For three performances only starting on July 15, the theater will host the production of “Absolute Brightness”, which is written and performed by James Lecesne.

The world premiere musical of “Unexpected Joy” takes place at the theater from July 21 to August 20.

The east coast premiere of “Alabama Story” runs from August 25 to September 25 at the theater.

The 15th season of WHAT for Kids starts July 11 and continues until August 24.

And Edgar Allan Poe’s “Nevermore” hits the stage on October 20 and runs until November 6.

Subscriptions for all the performances will be available on February 26 and single tickets will be available next month.
