WHAT Opens Season with Shakespeare

WELLFLEET – After the success of last year’s production of a “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will once again open their season with Shakespeare.

“Romeo and Juliet” opens on March 25 after previews on the 23 and 24.

This production of “Romeo and Juliet” features a cast of five and focuses on the impulsiveness of teenagers, the adult efforts to guide them and the miscommunication that can occur across generations.

The fresh take on a famous story also includes original music and stylized movement.

The performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. from March 25 through April 9.

WHAT will also perform matinees for student groups from area schools with a question and answer period following the performances.

A Pay WHAT you can night will be held on March 24 and an opening night reception will be held on the 25th.

Tickets start at $20 and may be purchased online at WHAT dot org, the WHAT box office, or by phone. Tickets for students are $12 and senior discounts are available.
