BARNSTABLE – State Representative Tim Whelan, the Brewster Republican running for re-election, has received the endorsement of The Brewster Police Union.
In a statement the Union President Fred O’Neil said “We are proud to stand with Representative Whelan and support his re-election. Tim’s strong work toward developing new funding for municipal police training and supporting mental health wellness for our first responders demonstrates his commitment to the safety and welfare of the men and women who put on a uniform and serve the citizens of Brewster every day.”
“I am very grateful to the membership of the Brewster Police Union for their confidence in my legislative leadership and their continued outstanding service to the citizens of Brewster,” Said Whelan.
Representative Whelan is in his second year serving the 1st Barnstable District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He serves as the Ranking member of the Joint Committee on Public Service and also serves on the Committee on Ways and Means and on the Joint Committee on Higher Education.
