Whelan Receives Endorsement

BREWSTER – Representative Tim Whelan (R-Brewster) has received the endorsement of the Massachusetts Nurses Association in his bid for re-election.

The association represents over 23,000 members on Cape Cod and the Islands. Representative Whelan says he worked closely with the MNA in advocating for health worker safety legislation and toward improving safety and reporting for staff at Taunton State Hospital.

“I cherish my relationship with the men and women Massachusetts Nurses Association, having worked with many of them during my decades long career with the Massachusetts State Police,” Whelan said.

Representative Whelan is serving his second term representing Precinct 1 in the Town of Barnstable, precincts 1 through 4 four and precinct 7 in the Town of Yarmouth, all of the Town of Dennis, and precincts 1 and 2 in the Town of Brewster.

He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, is the ranking member on the Joint Committee on Public Service and also serves on the Joint Committee on Higher Education.
