Wicked Good Cause Named Recipient of Subaru ‘Share the Love’ Award

BOURNE-  ‘Wicked Good Cause’ has received a donation of nearly $35,000 from Atlantic Subaru in Bourne, to launch a brand new campaign called ‘the Peace of Mind’ which will assist South Shore families who are affected by an unforeseen accident, illness, or tragedy.

The donation from the dealership is the largest single donations Wicked Good Cause has ever received.

A check was presented to Wicked Good Cause Board Vice President Kim Leckie by Atlantic Subaru during a ceremony at the dealership on Friday morning.

During the annual “Share the Love” event, the car company donates $250 for every new vehicle sold or leased to a host of charitable partners.

Wicked Good will use $15,000 of the donation in an effort to create “‘Peace of Mind’ care packages. Those baskets are going to be delivered to families who are maybe not in need of a large monetary donation, but who need to know that the community is there rallying around them.”

In addition, each Subaru retailer selects a hometown charity from their community to support, adding more than 660 local causes to the ‘Share the Love’ campaign.

“We have the national charities, but we always want to [incorporate] the local charities so the money is spent local, we want to touch local families that actually could use the help” says Levon Semerjian, owner of Atlantic Subaru.

In 2017, the Subaru Share the Love Event provided support to over 660 hometown charities totaling over $118 million dollars.
