Wild, Wild, Wellfleet Coming in July

WELLFLEET -Celebrate 10 years of Wild, Wild Wellfleet on Thursday, July 18th.

The event brings together over 200 supporters and friends of the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to enjoy delicious food and drink by some of the best chefs and beverage purveyors on the Outer Cape, live music and a dynamic live auction under a tent on the grounds of the sanctuary, all in support of the Sanctuary’s in-school and citizen science programs and their ecological efforts.

Since it’s inception in 2009, Wild, Wild Wellfleet has enabled the Sanctuary to more than double the size of our school program, reaching more than 2,200 local students from pre-k to high school from Brewster and Harwich to Provincetown.

It has also allowed the Sanctuary to provide 80 week-long day camp scholarships to local Outer Cape kids every year.

With nearly 35 percent of students across Nauset and Monomoy Regional School Districts qualifying for free and reduced lunch subsidies, the scholarships create access to the Sanctuary’s day camp for those who may otherwise be unable to attend due to cost.
