Wildlands Music & Art Stroll to Celebrate Nature and Art

KA_Spring Leaves_nature_060116137HARWICH PORT – The Harwich Conservation Trust will go back into the woods at the Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve this month in celebration of nature, art and music.

The event will feature the same instrument found in the middle of the preserve in 2009 which brought news coverage nationwide: a lone piano and its player’s bench.

Finding that instrument abandoned in the woods inspired the Wildlands Music & Art Stroll, according to the Harwich Conservation Trust.

Local musicians including Jordan Renzi, Kathleen Healy, Jennifer Stratton with Gerry Mack, Just Plain Folk, The Celtic Kids, Tom Leidenfrost and more will play at various parts of the 66-acre grounds.

Also scattered throughout the event will be artists painting landscapes in plein air. Their works will be raffled off at the end of the day.

Visitors will also have access to the Local Scoop’s ice cream truck.

Parking will be available at the Monomoy Regional High School at 75 Oak Street. Guests will be shuttled by bus to the art stroll.

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th.
