Wind, Rough Seas Cause Ferry Cancellations

HYANNIS – High winds and rough seas are causing travel disruptions Monday for ferry passengers.

The Steamship Authority has canceled morning trips on the Nantucket Route.

After several early morning trip cancelations between Woods Hole and Martha’s Vineyard, service has resumed.

Hy-Line Cruises has also canceled morning high speed service between Hyannis and Nantucket.

A Gale Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service through 10 a.m. Tuesday with gusts up to 45 knots and 6 to 9 foot seas expected.

Customers are advised to check with service providers for schedule updates.
