Wing Competition to Benefit Bone Marrow Disorders Research

FALMOUTH – Top chefs from around the region will compete to see who makes the best chicken wing later this month to benefit the Michael Fernandes Research Foundation for bone marrow disorders.

The research foundation focuses on aplastic anemia, which is when bone marrow stops making enough blood-forming stem cells, and myelodysplastic syndromes, a group of disorders where blood-forming stem cells are defective and fail to make healthy, mature blood cells.

Wing Fling 2018 will be held Sunday, April 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at Bucatino’s in North Falmouth.

The family-friendly event will feature raffles, a silent auction, music, face painting and a lot of wings.

Attendees will also be able to register to win a clear-bottom kayak.

Tickets will be available at the door. Admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
