Wings of Freedom Tour to Return to Martha’s Vineyard and Plymouth

HYANNIS–The 2019 Wings of Freedom Tour will be making its way to Massachusetts next month.

The tour, which features American aircrafts from World War II, will visit the Martha’s Vineyard Airport from September 16 to 18, and the Plymouth Municipal Airport from September 18 to 20.

“It still has its appeal,” Director of Marketing for the Wings of Freedom Tour Hunter Chaney said.

“It’s so nice to see the folks out there touring through these aircrafts and flying with us. It really is kind of a neat way to honor our veterans and to engage people in this history.”

New to the tour is the TP-40 Warhawk, which Chaney mentioned was heavily utilized in World War II.

“Folks who have always wanted to expeirence what it’s like to actually fly a P40 Warhawk, this is the opportunity. This is the chance to do it,” Chaney continued.
