HYANNIS – Five graduating high school students of art, music and dance have received $1,000 each as part of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s and Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s Positively Different scholarship program.
The achievement highlights both the excellence of submitted works and individual academic achievement. Students were required to have been accepted into a degree program at a college or university.
Below are the students awarded and their categories:
Dance – Victoria Bessette of Chatham, attending Roger Williams University.
Vocalist – Emma Fahle of Dennis, attending Wheaton College.
Musician – Abigail Pollock of Brewster, attending the University of Hartford.
Visual artist – Kailey Barrows of Mashpee, attending the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
Visual artist – Vanessa Liu of Falmouth, attending the Rochester Institute of Art.
This was the fifth straight year the program awarded scholarships to local graduates.
