Wolf To Address NRC On Plant Decommissioning Process

ROCKVILLE, MD – A local lawmaker will take part in a meeting this morning on the safe decommissioning of nuclear power plants.

Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf will speak before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as federal officials work on regulatory improvements for the decommissioning process.

Wolf will serve on a panel of representatives from states and communities with closed or closing stations.

The meeting comes as Entergy plans to close the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station by 2019.
