Women’s Music Festival to Battle Cancer, Plastic Pollution

DENNIS – The Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival will once again battle cancer this spring, but the 6th annual event will also have an eco-angle as well.

The festival is Saturday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis.

Proceeds from the event will again go to the Cape Wellness Collaborative to provide free integrative therapies for those facing cancer on the Cape and Islands.

Collaborative founder and CEO Sarah Swain is also determined to use the event to do something about plastic pollution as well.

Swain recently returned from a six-month family sailing trip and experienced first-hand how much plastic debris makes its way into our oceans and onto our beaches.

The festival will now be a plastic-free event.

Musical performers include Molly Parmenter, Out Late, Quartet Giacosa, Tianna Esperanza, the band Roses + Cigarettes, from LA, and Ruby Rose Fox.

A handful of tickets are still available. General Admission is $40 and VIP tickets are $120.
