Woods Hole Celebrates Black History Month

WOODS HOLE – A combination of science and culture will be the back drop of this year’s Black History Month celebration in Woods Hole.

On February 18^th at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Richard Taylor will speak about the Woods Hole and Martha’s Vineyard Civil Rights scene, and about his upcoming book “Martha’s Vineyard: Race, Property, and the Power of Place.”

That presentation will take place in the Meigs Room at MBL.

On February 25^th a multicultural art, food and entertainment event will take place at the MBL’s Swope Center. The annual Harambee will celebrate everyone of ever race.
