Woods Hole Celebrates Black History Month

KA_Falmouth_woods hole marina_111215 (1)WOODS HOLE – A combination of science and culture will be the back drop of this year’s Black History Month celebration in Woods Hole.

On February 18th at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Richard Taylor will speak about the Woods Hole and Martha’s Vineyard Civil Rights scene, and about his upcoming book “Martha’s Vineyard: Race, Property, and the Power of Place.”

That presentation will take place in the Meigs Room at MBL.

On February 25th a multicultural art, food and entertainment event will take place at the MBL’s Swope Center. The annual Harambee will celebrate everyone of ever race.
