FALMOUTH – For the third straight year the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox are the Cape Cod Baseball League Champions.

Y-D defeated the Falmouth Commodores Saturday night 3-0 in a deciding Game 3 at Guy Fuller Field in Falmouth.

Kevin Smith, from the University of Maryland, was named the Championship Series MVP.

He drove in the game winning run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly.

Western Carolina University Bryan Sammons was the winning pitcher and allowed just 2 hits over 6 innings for the Red Sox.
