Yarmouth Police Arrest Drug Abuser

unnamedYARMOUTH- Members of the Yarmouth Police Department Proactive Anti-Crime Unit arrested Lindsay Viera on two outstanding Felony Warrants at her residence in West Yarmouth this morning.

During the arrest, Viera was also found to be in possession of Class C illegal narcotics, and was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters where she remained combative and violent and destroyed the Police Department cell block phone.

Police say Viera began experiencing a drug overdose reaction and was transported under guard to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation.

Viera remained combative and spit on and threatened to harm a nurse and threatened a Yarmouth Police Officer and his family.

Viera is currently in custody and will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court later today or tomorrow for charges that include: Felony Warrant for Destruction of Property, Assault and Battery, Felony Intimidation of a Witness and Felony and Warrant for Breaking and Entering in the nighttime.
