SOUTH YARMOUTH – A Plymouth man was arrested by Yarmouth Police on multiple charges including driving under the influence of alcohol for the third time.
Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of North Dennis Road and White Path in South Yarmouth around 12:45 and found Christopher Schmidt, 48, behind the wheel.
Police said Schmidt was driving on a revoked license due to him being a Habitual Traffic Offender.
Fire Crews transported the Plymouth native to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries described as minor.
Along with the drunken driving charge, Schmidt was charged with operating a motor vehicle negligently, operating with a revoked license and marked lanes violation.
Schmidt was scheduled to be arraigned today in Barnstable District Court.
