Yarmouth Police Continue to Hunt for Route 28 Robbers

YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Unit, continue to investigate the string of three unarmed robberies that occurred over the past week.

Police believe all three robberies are related and committed by the same two black male suspects.

The first one occurred at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, August 7,  at Walgreens Pharmacy at 1041 Route 28 in South Yarmouth.

The second one occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, at Cape Cod Farms at 252 Route 28 in West Yarmouth.

The third occurred at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Hess Gas at 1353 Route 28 in South Yarmouth.

In each robbery no weapon was shown and the suspect reached over the counter and took cash out of the drawer during a purchase of a small inexpensive item.

All three of these violent felony crimes are currently unsolved.
