YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Superior Officers Union is throwing their support behind Barnstable County Sheriff Jim Cummings in his re-election bid.
Cummings is seeking his fourth six-year term and is facing Democrat Randy Azzato in the November 8th election.
“The men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department have a very good and productive relationship with Sheriff Cummings and the entire Sheriff’s Office,” said Yarmouth Police Lieutenant John Fallon.
Yarmouth Police join the Barnstable Police Superior Officers Union and Truro, Mashpee, Sandwich, and Falmouth Police in their endorsements of Cummings.
“I very much appreciate the support and endorsement,” said Cummings. “The Yarmouth Police Department is a leader in community and proactive policing. We have many great partnerships in place and I look forward to working together in the years to come.”
