Glynn is running has an independent and there are two seats up for grabs.

“I think a lot of people are showing at all levels of government that they’re sick of the insider establishment and they want regular Joes,” said Glynn. “That’s why I think I’m a regular Joe who’s in like Glynn.”

Mary Pat Flynn is running for re-election as Barnstable County Commissioner but Sheila Lyons is not.

Instead, Lyons is running for the Cape and Islands State Senate seat, which is currently held by Senator Dan Wolf who is not seeking re-election.

Glynn said he wants to see a better relationship between the county and its residents.

“They don’t even know what the county government does,” said Glynn. “They don’t know what the structure is, they don’t understand it, and that’s why I proposed to re-structure county government and lead by example and make sure that we have a vision.”
