Yarmouth Selectmen Adopt Town Administrator Screening Committee Charge

KA_Yarmouth_Town Hall_02_120215YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Selectmen unanimously agreed to adopt the charge for the Town Administrator Screening Committee at their meeting on Tuesday.

The Collins Center at UMass Boston is conducting the advertising for the position, which started last week and goes until Labor Day.

Richard Kobayashi, a senior associate with the Collins Center said that they have received some responses to the position so far and he expects to see a good amount of responses by the deadline.

“We will do our very best to make sure that this board has good, solid choices,” said Kobayashi.

The charge says that the Screening Committee, with the assistance of the Collins Center, will recommend three to five candidates as finalists for the position to selectmen.

The charge also states that the finalists will be fully vetted and the names will be submitted to selectmen by October 28.

“This is an extremely attractive job, in an extremely community that has good geography and has a history of having Town Administrators serve for a considerable period of time,” said Kobayashi.
