Zion Museum Celebrates 10 Years

HYANNIS – The Zion Union Heritage Museum will celebrate their 10th anniversary next month with an event at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

The celebration will feature an hors d’oeuvres buffet, a cash bar, a drawing for prizes including works of art by the museum’s resident artists, and a silent auction.

Museum director John Reed says while the institution may have gotten off to a rocky start, they have found their footing over the last three years or so.

“Over the last 10 years we have had ups and downs,” “But we have had buses from all over the country and people visiting us even from overseas. Yesterday we had there Chinese students come in from the People’s Republic of China, so we’re doing well.”

Headlining the event will be the premiere U.S. performance of Sing Sistah Sing, a critically acclaimed show conceived, written, produced, and performed by the celebrated vocalist Andrea Baker.

The anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday, June 2nd beginning at 6 PM. Tickets for the event range from $40-60 and can be purchased at CotuitCenterfortheArts.org.
