We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This is a 16-year-old female living in an apartment with mom, brother, & moms brother. She struggles socially, emotionally, & educationally but, continues to strive to be the best version of herself. Mom works full-time to provide for family dynamic trying the best she can for her family unit. She is a junior in high school & presents younger developmentally. She loves arts & crafts, dolphins, gymnastics & Disney & her favorite color is Aqua. The family as a whole is a supportive unit with strong bonds, however, with moms last place of employment closing finances have been tight & being able to engage/participate in anything the family loves, even if it were to go to the beach or science museums in Boston, it is not feasible. Any help this holiday season would more than appreciated. As mom says, “This will be a huge blessing for us”. Child 1: 16 year old female wears a women's small for clothes & has a size 6 women's shoe. She loves Silor Moon, Miraculous Ladybug & Mermaids. She would love a giftcard to Target, Barnes & Noble & Walmart. Child 2: 13 year old male in boys size 14 clothing & size 4 boys sneaker loves videogaming, pokemon, & minecraft. He would love a drone, mind puzzles, & pants. A Gamestop giftcard would be a nice surprise for him as well. Parent/guardian 1: 40-year old single mother of two is a women's size XL for clothes who would benefit from gift cards to Stop & Shop or Shaws as well as Target and Walmart. Parent/ guardian 2: 42-year old male who wears size 3XL men's clothing. He loves the Alabama football team & fishing. He would love a giftcard to Dick's Sporting Goods.
