We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Now we’re asking you and your family (friends, colleagues, etc) to considering sponsoring this family.

A mother and father who are raising 2 children, ages 8 and 16. The family moved to Cape Cod within the last few years and struggle with being away from their relatives who reside out of state. The family is supportive and caring of one another and have been engaged with CFS for the last year to assist in strengthening family relationships and coping with their emotions. The family is appreciative of any help they receive. Child 1: Female age 16: The teenager loves to accessorize with bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. She also loves to experiment with makeup/nails and would love a gift card to Sephora/Ulta. She would also love a cozy throw blanket that she can use in the wintertime. She wishes for a Northface fleece jacket size adult small for the winter time along with a new winter hat, scarf, and gloves. Child 2: Male age 8: The boy loves all things pokemon and would love some new pokemon cards and toys. He loves to draw so he would like some new coloring books/sketchpad and new markers/colored pencils. He would love his own soccer ball to practice at home. He would also love a razor scooter that he can ride with his friends. He needs clothes including pants and shirts size boys 8, sweatshirts size 8, socks in size boys 3, and a new winter jacket size boys medium along with a new winter hat and gloves. Parent/ guardian 1: Mother would appreciate any gift cards to stores such as Stop and Shop, Target, Amazon, or Marshalls/TJ Maxx. Mother works hard and could use some self-care items such as lotions, soaps, and nail care items. Parent/ guardian 2: Father would appreciate some gas gift cards as he travels for work. The father would also like a gift card to a family restaraunt so he can take the family out to dinner.
