We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Sarah age 72 is a grandmother caring for her two grandsons. She is on a fixed income so help is appreciated. Her grandson, Gary, age 17 is very into certain bands, learning to play guitar, skateboarding, computers and computer games. Her other grandson, Donald, age 13, hopes to be a YouTuber. He is very into gaming, Legos and has started to collect vinyl albums. Child #1: Donald, age 13, would like a boys XL hooded pullover or a boys size L T-shirt featuring one of the bands Ween, Gorillaz or Eminem. These should be in a solid color. He could use a new back pack with pockets on the side for phone and water bottle. He likes Lego sets and has asked for Ninjago Hydro Set # 71756, Ninjago Coles Dragon Set #71769, Ninjago Water Dragon Set # 71754. He also would like Earbuds and a guitar strap for a 3/4 acoustic guitar. Child #2: Gary, age 17, could use a men's small or medium hooded pullover, perhaps with the name of a band he likes (Phish, Sublime, AC/DC, Pink Floyd or Gorillaz. (solid colors) He could use size 7 mens snow boots and boys size 14-16 bib style snow pants. He would like a Lego Breaking Bad car and building set. He has asked for a Vanilla Game Console. Parent/guardian #1: Sarah is 5' 1' and her favorite color is blue. She could use a large night gown, mid-calf length. She also would like a Large to XL Petite night gown. She is into organic vegetable gardening, cooking and organizing. She could use a 12 inch no stick frying pan, a 9 x13 no stick pan and a sided cookie sheet. She might like a new garden hose and freezer storage containers or drawer organizers.
