Christmas Wishes 2023 – Family 044

We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Now we’re asking you and your family (friends, colleagues, etc) to considering sponsoring this family.

If you would like to sponsor this family, please read the description below and fill out the form.

April and her two boys, Larry age 15 and Mike age 17 live in a small home which is rented to April's parents. April is handicapped and both of her boys have mental health issues which make them difficult to manage at times. Larry is autistic and Mike is significantly depressed. April is on a fixed disability income augmented with very little child support. Christmas is difficult given the situation. Child #1: Larry age 15 wears size men’s medium or 14-16 pants and shirts and men’s 7.5 shoes. He would wear a men’s Large coat. He needs gloves and a hat. He loves all things Pokemon or Mario Brothers or a Game Stop gift card. Child #2: Mike age 17 wears 2XL mens pants and shirts, size 9w shoes and 1x men’s coat. He would like sketch books, pencils, art supplies, and gift cards to Newbury Comics or Barnes and Noble. Parent/guardian #1: April wears size 2xl pants and 4x blouses. She would like cookie sheets, a baking spatula, socks, a pillow and a blanket and gift cards from Stop and Shop and/or Amazon.
