We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Client is a 16-year-old biological female who presents & identifies as a transgender male with he/him pronouns & feels unaccepted by maternal side of family based on identifying with the transgender community. Clients paternal side of the family is more accepting; however, client does not see them often based on custody & visitation limitations. Client has been one-year self-harm free & continues to build coping skills to alleviate negative thoughts/feelings as well as suicidal ideations. Client has struggled in the past with peer relationships & has recently stated that they ‘feel like something bigger is wrong with them’ than others see/experience. Client lives full time with mom, mom's boyfriend & mom’s boyfriends’ daughters, food/snacks can be scarce & ‘alone time’ is limited unless client is in his bedroom. Any help during the holiday season would be appreciated. Child #1: 16-year-old biological female is in unisex clothing size medium/large with a shoe/sneaker size size 8.5 & a boot size of 9. Client would love to have an electric guitar & gift cards to Barnes & Noble, TJMAXX, & PetSmart. Parent/guardian #1: 40-year-old mother would love to get gift cards to Stop & Shop as well as Fashion Nails in South Dennis.
