We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Client is a 12-year-old female who was adopted by her grandfather & grandfathers girlfriend last year. Client struggles with ADHD & Anxiety & has undergone a huge amount of trauma, grief & loss with witnessing 3 different deaths of family members & the death of biological mother. Client struggles with social cues, has limited friends & has low self-esteem when it comes to feeling accepted by any/all. Clients mother passed from suicide & family members are attempting to save that conversation for when client is older & may understand ‘better’ rather than having client feel as though she is somewhat responsible for bio-moms passing. Any help during the holiday season would be appreciated. Child #1: 12-year-old female fits into a girl's size 12-14 with a size 4 sneaker/boot would love Nike sweatsuits, fuzzy pajamas, fuzzy socks & a giant throw blanket. Client would also love hair accessories (scrunchies, clips, headbands) but would really love gift cards to Sephora, Ulta, Target &/or Amazon Child #2: 16-year-old female fits into a women's medium/large & sneaker/boot women's size 9 really needs women's long sleeves & t-shirts, as well as fuzzy pajamas, fuzzy socks & plain colored hoodies. Child 2 just received her license so gift cards for gas & car washes would be helpful as well as other gift cards to Subway, Target, Amazon &/or Dunkin Donuts. Parent/guardian #1&2: Adopted parents would love gift cards to local restaurants for a date night.
