We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This teenager is currently participating in treatment for anxiety. She is in a medical training program and hopes to one day become a Registered Nurse. She lives in a single-family home with her mother, father and older brother. Her mom is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, which has made working out of the home impossible. The dad works two jobs and yet continues to struggle to provide financially for the family. The family has been having a tough time making ends meet and only has one vehicle. Child #1, 16yo female wishes for a Macbook to help with school, Scrubs- Cherokee brand size XS, Diamond Art, Hello Kitty merchandise, a Walmart gift card and/or Hamster bedding, hamster wheel.Child #2, 20 something male would appreciate a gift card for fuel or for a local Auto Parts store. Parent/guardian #1: mom would love a Spa gift card or massage gift card and needs sheets and a mattress protector for a Califirnia King size bed. Parent #2, dad would love a gift card to any motorcycle shop. A huge treat for the family would be a gift card to Oliver’s/Plank Tavern in Yarmouthport or Jake Rooney’s in Harwich.
