We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. “Anthony” is a very smart child who lives with autism. He likes geography and has a hyper-focus on maps. He lives with his parents, his 16 year old brother, and an uncle. His brother is a very kind boy who participates in treatment for anxiety and depression. All the family members are new to Cape Cod and they are working on settling in to their new community. Mom is a full time parent caring for the needs of her sons and Dad and the uncle work outside of the home. Child #1: 10 year old boy: He only likes very soft clothes, for sensory reasons. He really enjoys making videos about countries on his You Tube channel. He would be very happy to get a laptop he could use to make and edit videos. Size 10/12 clothes. Size 4 shoes. Likes Crocs. Child #2: 16 year old boy: Medium clothes (active wear) Size 10 shoes. He would really appreciate getting a smart watch. Uncle: 24 year old man: Medium clothes (active wear.)
