Gleason also went 2-4 at the plate to help his own cause, including two RBI.

Post 206’s fourth straight victory was spawned from a six-run first inning that included a leadoff walk from Drew Tardif (1-2, 2 runs), followed by a double from Gary DiSarcina Jr. (2-3, 2 doubles, 2 RBI), and RBI-basehits from Gleason, Mike Knell (1-4, 2 runs), Bobby Higgins (1-1, RBI) and Andrew Williams (3-3, 2 RBI, 2 runs).

That was all Gleason would need as the only hit he allowed was to leadoff man Nick Perito in the first frame and then settled to retire the side in each inning thereafter.

Barnstable Post 206 faces Marshfield Post 88 Wednesday night at Lowell Park.

In other Legion news: Sandwich Post 188, atop the District 10 East Division standings in first place, defeated Kingston Post 387, 7-2, with Nick Couhig taking the victory on the mound.
