Cape League Report – July 21st, 2016

The Y-D Red Sox have won 8 of their last 10 games and moved into first place in the East Division last night with their 5-1 win over Hyannis.

Harwich fell behind the Red Sox in their division when they lost to Falmouth 4-2. The Commodores have a 5-game lead for first place in the West.

Orleans moved to .500 on the season with a win in Brewster. The final was Firebirds 8, Whitecaps 6.

After showing signs of improvement, the Kettleers fell into another slump and dropped their fourth in a row. With a strangle hold on last place in the West, Cotuit lost to Chatham 2-1.

The Gatemen won their third in a row and beat the Bourne Braves 3-2.

Tonight at 5, Y-D plays Cotuit. Brewster visits Hyannis at 6. At 6:30 it’s Bourne @ Harwich and Chatham @ Wareham, and the final game of the evening will be between Falmouth and Orleans at 7.
