Cape League Report – July 26th, 2016

Pitcher Jeffrey Passantino has had a standout season with Falmouth. The righty out of Lipscomb started Saturday’s All Star game for the West which counted as a win and only padded his stats a little more. Passantino has a 0.73 ERA 3 wins and 34 strike outs in 37 innings of strong pitching.

It was BJ Myers of Harwich who got the MVP nod for the East in Satruday’s All Star game. Although he only pitched one inning, he didn’t let up a single hit in his 1-2-3 outing. Myers has also had an outstanding season here on the Cape and has a measly 1.18 ERA and 3 wins with one loss in his 6 starts.

The league returns from their day off tonight with three 5:00 starts. Wareham faces Brewster, Cotuit seeks a win at home against Bourne and Y-D hosts Chatham. Falmouth visits Hyannis at 6 and Orleans heads to Harwich at 6:30.
