FALMOUTH HEIGHTS — In what some New Balance Falmouth Road Race officials were saying was the biggest spectator crowd seen in recent years, Kenya’s Stephen Sambu repeated as the men’s champion (32:06 ~ unofficial time) and Burundi’s Diane Nukuri took the women’s title with a time of 36:47.
Falmouth’s Elizabeth Lawton was the top female finisher from the Cape in 56th place overall with a time of 47:22. Centerville native Greg Hardy, a former Barnstable High School track & field star and recent graduate and former track star at Tufts University, was the top male finisher from the Cape with a time of 36:25.
