The Cape League Report: June 14th, 2016

Cotuit’s pitching staff continues to struggle in the first few games of the season as the mound saw 6 different Kettleers last night in their game against Bourne. Cotuit allowed 16 hits and 8 earned runs and couldn’t make up their defensive mistakes on the offensive side. Their 10-1 loss to the Braves was their third in as many games to start the season.

Brewster got the offense going tallying 17 hits in their 14-6 win against Chatham.

Harwich remains perfect through 4 games as they defeated the Red Sox 9-1.

Falmouth beat Wareham 5-4 serving the Gatemen their first loss, and Hyannis fell to Orleans 6-1.

Full slate of games tonight: two at 5, Bourne at Cotuit and Chatham at Y-D. Falmouth faces Hyannis at 6. Brewster heads to Wareham at 6:30 and Harwich plays in Orleans at 7.
