NFL: Patriots at Colts

Sunday 8:30 NBC

We’ve been waiting a long, long time for this one, haven’t we? The Colts were the team that lodged the initial accusation against the Patriots in the deflategate saga, following a 45-7 embarrassment in Foxboro in January. This would have been Tom Brady’s first game back from suspension had judge Richard Berman not overturned his deflategate punishment. Brady is rolling, playing as well as he ever has in his career. The Colts, meanwhile, have struggled despite their 3-2 record. The Patriots have put up 189 points in the Colts in their last four matchups. The only question is, how much will they win by this time?

NFL: Carolina at Seattle

Sunday 4 PM

The defending NFC Champion Seahawks have struggled in spurts this year, off to a 2-3 start and are coming off a bad loss in Cincinnati last week, blowing a 24-7 lead to the Bengals. The Panthers and quarterback Cam Newton are off to a 4-0 start, but head into a hostile environment in Seattle. This is the premier matchup in the NFL this week.

MLB: Kansas City Royals vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Friday and Saturday

The American League’s two best teams meet in a best of 7 series for the right to go to the World Series. Both the Royals and Blue Jays are coming off dramatic series comebacks in the ALDS. Games 1 and 2 are set for Friday and Saturday.

MLB: Chicago Cubs vs. New York Mets

Saturday and Sunday

The Cubs haven’t been to the World Series since 1945, and haven’t won since 1908, can they finally earn a trip back to the fall classic? The Mets feature outstanding starting pitching and will try and tame the Cubs high-powered offense. Saturday’s game one is a premier pitching matchup, former Red Sox Jon Lester takes the ball for Chicago opposite Mets ace Matt Harvey.

NHL: Bruins at Coyotes

10 PM Saturday, NESN

The Bruins are off to a 1-3 start, having struggled mightily before picking up a 6-2 win against the Avalanche this week. The Coyotes, the third worst team in the NHL last year, are off to a 3-0 start. The young Bruins defense has given up 6 goals twice in just four games, they need to build on the strides they made in Colorado.
