JOINT BASE CAPE COD – A fire broke out at the Upper Cape Cod Regional Transfer Station at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) about 5:45 AM Wednesday. Area towns responded to assist JBCC firefighters at the scene on Kitridge Rd. Transfer station personnel used an excavator to pull apart the large pile of material so the fire could be fully extinguished. No injuries were reported. Further details were not immediately available.
