BREWSTER – Local ham radio operators will join thousands across the county next weekend to showcase their emergency capabilities.
During Amateur Radio Week’s Field Day, the Barnstable Amateur Radio Club will demonstrate amateur radio at the Brewster Sportsman’s Club June 24 and 25.
The public can learn how ham radio operators help during disasters and how they can get their own FCC radio license.
More than 35,000 operators across the country participated in last year’s event.
