MASHPEE – Maine-based outdoor retailer L.L. Bean is expanding its bootprint to Cape Cod.
The company has announced plans to open up a store at Mashpee Commons this fall in place of the soon-to-be-closed Gap location.
This will be the first L.L. Bean location on Cape Cod. The company currently operates 4 full-size stores in Massachusetts and an outlet in Wareham.
The Mashpee store will be the latest piece of a large expansion for the company, which has announced plans to reach the 100 store mark by 2020. Right now, there are 27 L.L. Bean locations in the country.
