Orleans Police seeking summer community service officers

ORLEANS – The Orleans Police Department is accepting applications for the seasonal position of Community Service Officer.

Requirements for Community Service Officers (CSO) include being a high school graduate with current CPR and first responder certification and at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2017.

The Orleans Police Department is seeking professional, energetic, and community oriented candidates to fill the position of Community Service Officer.

CSO’s are not armed and perform a variety of duties in support of basic police operations and functions.

They are assigned to bicycle and foot patrols and are scheduled to work 40 hours weekly in addition to special events in the Town Of Orleans. Uniforms, equipment and in house training are provided.

Starting pay is $14.62 per hour. The Hiring process consist of a criminal back ground check, medical screen, and oral interview.
