YARMOUTH – A gas line was struck by a construction crew in Yarmouth around 1:30 PM Tuesday afternoon. The 1 3/4 line was struck on South Shore Drive by the entrance to Smuggler’s Beach. Officials shut down the road and firefighters deployed a hose line to dampen down the fumes until National Grid could arrive to cap the leak. No injuries were reported.
