YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Fire Department reported its 2015 call volume on Friday. The department responded to 7,096 calls in 2015.
Of the total calls, 5,546 were medical calls, each of which had a minimum response of three firefighters.
Breaking out the numbers across the town, South Yarmouth had 43% of calls, West Yarmouth had 35% and Yarmouth Port had 22%.
The Department reports that a new 2016 International TerraStar/Life Line ambulance (top photo) has been brought into service, replacing the old ambulance 55.
