6/11, 4:30PM, 7th Annual Katherine Lee Bates Poetry Fest, Falmouth Cultural Center – Adults and kids have been invited to compose a poem and read it at this annual festival honoring the poet Katherine Lee Bates, who was born in Falmouth and is remembered for writing “America the Beautiful.” There will be prizes and light refreshments. 6/20 & 6/27, 2026 Against the Tide Swim, Run, Walk – Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) invites your support in promoting the 2026 Against the Tide Swim, Run, Walk, our annual fundraising events supporting breast cancer prevention. The 34th Annual Hopkinton event will take place at DCR Hopkinton State Park on June 20, 2026, followed by the 27th Annual Cape event at DCR Nickerson State Park on June 27, 2026. Events include USATF-certified 5K and 10K runs, USMS-sanctioned 1-mile swims, recreational swims, a ½-mile swim, and a 3-mile fitness walk.
