FALMOUTH -Falmouth Fire Rescue was called to a commercial fire alarm in the Kenyon’s Market center at 769 East Falmouth highway in East Falmouth around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. A full structure response arrived to find an electrical fire in the section of the complex occupied by the Green Pond Fish Market.
The source was quickly found and the power and water to the sprinklers which had activated were shut off.
An electrical inspector and fire prevention officer were requested to determine the cause.
With the fire under control several of the units that responded were able to be dispatched to other calls that came in before they could return to quarters. There were no injuries reported at the Fish Market scene.
