1-22-16 Single car Harwich

NORTH HARWICH – Around 1:20 p.m. Friday Harwich Fire Rescue responded to a car-vs-tree crash near 201 Great Western Road, between Bells Neck Road and Spring Tide Lane. A four-door Ford Taurus sedan was westbound when the 22-year-old driver lost control. The vehicle bounced of a tree injuring all four young people in the vehicle.

Harwich Fire called four ambulances to the scene. The Dennis, Brewster, and Chatham fire departments responded via mutual aid. All four occupants of the vehicle were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with a range of injuries including a broken arm and broken ribs. None of the injuries were considered life threatening. Harwich Police are investigating but reports at the scene indicate that speeding was a factor in the crash.
