A Natural Partner: Cape and Islands United Way and Cape Cod Broadcasting Media
CapeCod.com’s parent company, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, has been proud to partner and support the Cape and Islands United Way for more than five years. Cape Cod Broadcasting Media has helped the Cape and Islands United Way by promoting various campaigns on CapeCod.com and it’s four radio stations.
An example of one of these campaigns is the “Good Tidings” Campaign.
“The “Good Tidings” Campaign is the original brainchild of Cape Cod Broadcasting Media. The campaign featured radio ads with the voices of our community impact partners and are used to spread the message of the Cape and Islands United Way to raise money for critical human services. With the support of the radio ads throughout the month of December, our 2014 December campaign was substantially higher than the year before.”

The huge success of the Good Tidings Holiday Giving Campaign plays a big part in the funding of the 48 programs and 39 nonprofits across the Cape and Islands this year.
With minimal staff and the support of committed and concerned volunteers, the Cape and Islands United Way engages local individuals and businesses to raise and distribute the critical funds necessary to support our neighbors in need. In 2015, we have invested in 39 nonprofit organizations across the region and 48 specific programs that deal with a range of issues – from hunger and homelessness to substance abuse and domestic violence. Positive youth development through mentoring, after school support, and recreation programs are also a critical area of support.
The Cape and Islands United Way is a local nonprofit with a national brand; when you give here, it stays here!
Advancing the COMMON GOOD is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. Our communities are vibrant and strong when children succeed, families are financially stable, and people are healthy.
Our local and independent Cape and Islands United Way raises money on the Cape and Islands to create lasting change right here. Working collectively with our donors, business partners, volunteers, and nonprofit community impact partners, we change lives and build stronger communities.
